Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, the Miss South Africa has been crowned Miss Universe 2017. The 66th edition of Miss Universe pageant was held on November 26, 2017 at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The show was hosted by Steve Harvey and Ashley Graham. The former Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere of France crowned Demi-Leigh Nel-Peter. Miss Colombia Laura González secured first runner-up position while Miss Jamaica Davina Bennett became the second runner-up. This year ninety two women from around the world participated in the competition.
