Priota Iftekar is a Bangladeshi travel blogger who has gained fame and popularity due to fostering a dream for touring sixty four districts in Bangladesh and travelling fifty overseas countries with her national flag. Priota is the Brand Ambassador at Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation. She is Miss Tourism World Bangladesh 2017/2018. Priota is the first ever Bangladeshi contestant to compete at Miss Tourism World 2017.  Priota secured 6^th place at Miss Multinational on February 26, 2018. She was a participant in the Miss Landscapes International pageant held on June 23, 2018 in Guangzhou, China. In December 16, 2018 she was crowned as the first ever Miss Culture Worldwide in Harare, Zimbabwe. She is also the very first solo international pageant winner for Bangladesh.

She has been popularly called 'The Flag Girl' for being the first person ever to raise their flag for promoting women's right to travel around the world. She previously worked as a programme producer at Channel i and has studied filmmaking, acting, and script-writing in Mumbai.

Manushi Chhillar Crowned Miss World 2017

Manushi Chhillar of India has won the Miss World beauty pageant title for the year 2017. She was crowned by the former Miss World, Stephanie del Valle of Puerto Rico. The dazzling finale of Miss World  2017 was held in Sanya, China on Saturday, November 18. For Indians the much cherished win comes after a long 17 years gap. Manushi is the sixth Indian to win the title and the first since Priyanka Chopra who brought the title back in the year 2000. Andrea Meza, Miss Mexico was the first runner up while Stephanie Hill from England was the second runner up. Around 108 women from across the globe participated in the beauty pageant.

Previously she was crowned Femina Miss India 2017 on 25 June 2017. The 20-year old Manushi Chhillar hails from Haryana, India. She studied in St. Thomas School in New Delhi and Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonipat. Manushi is currently studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. Manushi aims to be a cardiac surgeon and has plans of opening non-profit hospitals in rural areas. She is a trained classical dancer and has a passion for outdoor sports like scuba diving, snorkelling and bungee jumping.

Miss France Iris Mittenaere Crowned the Miss Universe Title 2016

The Miss France, Iris Mittenaere has been crowned the Miss Universe 2016 on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. The first and the second runner-ups were Miss Haiti, Raquel Pelissier and Miss Colombia, Andrea Tovar respectively. Like last time, Steve Harvey hosted the show this year. However, the 65^th edition of the competition broke its long tradition and considered 12 finalists instead of 13. The top finalists hailed from Kenya, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Panama, Colombia, Phillippines, Canada, Brazil, France, Haiti, Thailand, and the U.S. Clad in a gold-sequined gown, the 24-year-old dental surgery student Iris Mittenaere was very fortunate to have won the second Miss Universe for her country in 64 years after Christiane Martel.
