Sub: Regarding Control of Dust and Minimization of Noise at Demolition Site.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction over the ongoing building demolition work at plot no [insert number] which is in close proximity to my residence. Any demolition work in a residential area must be undertaken with appropriate safety measures towards minimizing environmental disturbance to local residents, such as:
  • to ensure that the dust emission is kept to acceptable levels.
  • to make certain there that construction impacts such as noise, vibration are not heard from the site in certain hours.
However, it is regretted that in the subject case the Contractor lacks a positive attitude and commitment towards minimizing the above environmental pollutions. To be specific, as he is carrying out the work without any protective net, there is significant amount of dust emission from the site. Moreover, there is also intolerable noise during the demolition hours.

Under the above situation, I would request you to look into the matter and ensure that proper arrangements have been made towards minimizing the prevailing air and sound pollution.
