Dear Sir,

I would like to draw your kind attention to the fact that the overhead transformer in our locality has been malfunctioning since long time. The subject transformer frequently sparks and makes horrid sounds. Moreover, the unit often completely breaks down at least thrice in a week. Due to its abject condition there are recurrent voltage fluctuations and power failures. As a result, a number of problems occur, such as the inmates’ sense of safety is being destroyed, the life of electronic appliances is being decreased, businesses dependent on electricity are being shut, and day to day activities are being hampered.

Besides, due to negligence of the department of electricity the transformer often left unrepaired day after day, which increases our hardships even more. Therefore, it is clear that the transformer in question should be replaced urgently not only to enable us to lead a safer and easy life but also to avoid any fatal consequences.

Under the above circumstance, I would request you to kindly stop experimenting with this worn-out transformer and replace it with a new unit as early as possible to save our locality from the untold misery.
