At present the Smartphone world is mostly ruled by Google’s Android and Apple’s i OS. To compete with these two extremes, Firefox decided to develop Firefox OS. The OS became a much discussed subject since the beginning of this year. The idea of this OS emerged as a reaction to the former OS’s inability to run in low configured smartphones. This OS has paved the way for low budget phones. The OS is very easy to operate and the user will have a different experience while running the apps. This OS is based on HTML5, that means it is the first OS to run in web technology. Mozilla will launch it on July 2, 2013 in the banner of Spanish mobile operator Telefónica España in ZTE’s handset. The ZTE Open will be released with a 3.5-inch touch screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 4 GB micro SD card. The price of this Smartphone is 69 Euro or 90 Dollar.

Windows 8 start menu

Software giant Microsoft announced the advent of its new operating system Windows 8 since long. But the tech giant did not reveal exactly when Windows 8 will be available in the market. After much speculation, a recent announcement form Microsoft confirms of the release of this much cherished operating system in the waning days of the year 2012.

Microsoft’s president of Microsoft's Windows division Steven Sinofsky announced the release of Windows 8 devices during the company's annual sales meeting. He told that the PC, tablet, and Smartphone manufacturers will get the OS in the first week of August 2012. And the devices will be available in October26th.

The good news is that the users of Win XP, Vista, and Win 7 will be able purchase the upgrade just for $40, a relatively cheaper price charged by Microsoft ever. Again, those who have purchased a Windows 7 computer on or later than June 2nd, they will be able to upgrade for only $15.

Microsoft’s partner companies, such as Lenovo, Asus and Acer will bring forward several different Windows 8 powered devices.

But it is still a question exactly when Microsoft’s Tablet PC “Surface” will appear in the market. But Microsoft hinted out that it will appear when their latest OS hits the market. Therefore, the tablet might also appear in October26th as a surprise.
