Dear Sir,
As per contract dated [insert date] I have been paying your law firm [insert amount, e.g. USD 100.00] against monthly retainer fees. My case is under hearing since long [insert tenure, e.g. 10 years]. During this tenure I have been regularly paying you the retainer fees along with all other fees which include but not limited to fees for drafting documents, telephone calls, office visits, filing, and representation). However, now I am in fund shortage and not in a position to pay you the monthly retainer fees.
Under the above circumstance, I would request you to waive the retainer fees from onwards in recognition of our good relationship. However, I shall continue to pay you all other regular fees as soon as submission of the respective invoices.
